Regulation on periodic audits and supervision of police data for extraordinary investigating officers Law In brief This internet consultation concerns the regulation on periodic audit and supervision of police data for extraordinary investigating officers (Rpat boa). The purpose of this regulation is to establish an appropriate and clear audit system for boa employers, which also makes supervision by the Dutch Data Protection Authority simpler and stronger. The current Regulation on periodic audit of police data (Rpa) dates from 2008 and fits poorly with boa employers. The high audit frequency leads to disproportionate burdens, especially for boa employers that deal with few police-data processing operations. This new regulation therefore proposes creating a separate regulation for boa employers, with a smarter audit cycle and a clear distribution of tasks.
